Under s European project, led by CLUSTER (QUESTE-Quality System of European Scientifical and Technical Education), the IST applied for an experimental self-assessment exercise of its commitment to the issues of sustainability and social responsibility.
This exercise, which focused mainly on the Department of Mechanical Engineering and covered Environmental Engineering, Aseospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, was aimed at testing an assessment methodology, while allowing the pilot institutions to apply for a quality seal to be awarded in the future by ENQHEEI (European Network for Quality of Higher Engineering Education for Industry) and EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development).
The results of this self-assessment exercise are summarized in a presentation carried out during the visit to IST of external auditors on 22 and 23 October 2012.
